Black Child, Keep Rising!

A little bit more about MSIZI Agency, how it came about and why Black-Owned businesses are so Important in today's age!

WHAT’S IN A NAME?

Not all names were created equal. It’s the names you choose that create your life experiences – and, we get that.

Give Your Children Power Through Their Names

Chasing Desire

Hi, my name is Eden Myrrh and this is my blog, TRAVEL LIGHT. Outside of this blog, however, I run a digital marketing agency with my business partner, Mario Ogle. We chose the name MSIZI, for our business, meaning “helper” in Zulu. True to our name, we have an insatiable desire to be of service to others; helping brands and influencers to capture their essence holistically, making them more relatable to their audience…

“…the Human Experiences Facilitator”

IT’S FOLKLORE!

According to South African folklore, the /Xam Bushmen would ask the Sun, early in the morning before they set out to hunt, to steady the hunter’s arm when aiming at game.

The /Xam said that the Sun was originally a man whose head shone brightly. But he was a lazy fellow and would sleep late, keeping his light to himself. So one day, out of desperation, the First Bushmen chopped off his head and threw it up into the sky so that his light could be shared with everyone.

And, just like that, the sun now rises and has risen, for everyone. Giving all a fair chance and steadying the arm of the hunter. Steadying the arm of the black child, enabling him a fair chance, enabling him to… keep rising!

MO’FIRE MSIZI

#teamMSIZI takes a Solution-Agnostic approach to marketing.

Most marketing agencies find creative ways to reframe your marketing problem so that it fits their preferred solution.

While we don’t have all of the answers, we want to sit with you until we have asked all of the questions, and only then will we recommend a potential solution. The right solution. Sometimes, it’s not something that we can provide or do – and that’s okay. We’ll refer you to the people who can fulfill the vision for you – and we’ll even manage them for you.

We sat with someone who fulfilled our vision! Watch our #FriendsOfMSIZI podcast here:

COMING OF AGE

It’s June Month! The month of our birth — and we’re excited. We feel that it is even more significant, with everything going on in the world, that we have even made it this far as black business owners in an industry where seeing people in our position is very rare.

We wanted to let you into a little bit more of our story, where we currently stand and open up the dialogue… BIPOCs in the creative industry — what’s on your mind? what are some of the hard conversations that need to be spoken about? How are you fairing now?

#TheGoodSis

Hi Friend,

I genuinely hope that this message not only finds you well, but full of hope and expectancy.

For a long while now – a few years – I’ve had it heavy on my heart to start something. Something authentic, something with depth, something that offered a holistic approach to health and wellness to the non-white (BIPOC) female, and I’m finally doing it. This is it.

It’s a online platform of curated content largely speaking into the following:

  • Travel
  • Wellness
  • Culture

Its name is TRAVEL LIGHT.

A place where people learn how to navigate through life “lightly.” Without baggage – emotionally, mentally, physically, and more… A new perspective.

Now, obviously, any woman is welcome to come onto the site in an effort to find a way to navigate through certain issues she may have in her life, but, anything we share will be from non-white professionals and from a non-white cultural view point…

… Because it’s important,

Love
